  • Partner with Managing Director, global and regional leaders and support functions to refine 3-year Asia growth, development and hiring plan.
  • Partner with Heads of Department and Heads of Sale to lead Global Fine Arts strategy and implement transformation goals across the division.
  • Serve as a critical link between Heads of Department and other divisions such as Operations and Marketing.
  • Ensure sale departments execute and achieve critical sale sourcing, client management, and operational goals.
  • Partner with Business Directors to lead the organizational and communications strategy for business and business pipeline.
  • Responsible for all sale/related diligence including management of sale calendar, sale strategy, execution of marketing, operations, post-sale, staffing, and travelling exhibitions.
  • Lead and manage Global Fine Arts sale strategy in coordination with Department Heads. Partner on department management and HR related activities. Lead transformation efforts in applicable areas of the Global Fine Arts division.


Business And Sourcing

Drive a thoughtful and creative sale and sourcing strategy in partnership with department and sale heads

  • Inspire innovation in sale format, schedule and presentation
  • Align for global consistency in sale strategies
  • Coordinate major business leads with New Business Committee and Client Strategy teams
  • Ensure proper team leadership of major business opportunities including coordination and execution of proposals and all related deliverables including pitch materials
  • Improve efficiency of pricing and valuation support
  • Ensure the productivity of the sale teams on the pricing platform, working with the tech and data team to maximize sourcing
  • Partner with department and sale heads to drive business across all selling formats: Marquee, Flagship, Live/Online auctions as well as cross-category/theme sales and offsite auctions across all platforms (Buy Now/Marketplace, Private Sales and Metaverse)


  • Partner with Operations on allocations, training and induction of the pre-sale administrative staff
  • Work with Operations to ensure sale teams manage inventory, enabling swift assignment of lots to sales with attention to high value lots
  • Ensure best in class consignment experience on behalf of the department and division
  • Oversee sale participation and physical set up of all live auctions and exhibitions
  • Oversee local and travelling exhibitions including the scheduling of exhibitions calendar, gallery set up and events in coordination with regional offices, Operations and Marketing
  • Ensure all Marketing deliverables with support from Sales Director to ensure successful allocation and timely preparation of all sale materials including digital campaign execution, photography production, website content development and print catalogues
  • Propose, manage, and implement efficiencies, integration and adoption for new and existing IT tools and all corporate tech initiatives in the department i.e. CRM, Concur, Tableau, FYEO, Workplace
  • Ensure team is trained on and implementations using new systems
  • Responsible for timely feedback collating and delivery
  • Work with leadership team to have clear tech/operations/marketing wish list with short/mid/long term horizons

Business Strategy And Communications

In collaboration with department and sale heads ensure flow of department and company information and communication to staff and maintain consistent coordination with other GM’s by convening monthly review for Division Head addressing business priorities

  • Financial performance and commentary, as provided by Business Directors and Finance
  • Talent: team structure, staffing goals, hires and departures
  • YTD department and individual performances against targets
  • YTD bidding and buying metrics of interest
  • Upcoming calendar update by sale and region – sales and exhibitions
  • Pipeline sourcing update including key wins/losses, as provided by Business Directors
  • Update on marketing/tech roadmap
  • Report Weekly to GFA Chairman on won/lost/signed consignments and new opportunities as well as all sale related updates including marketing, operations and exhibitions


Partner with HR, department and sale heads on staff needs, training, and performance

  • Ensure execution of goal setting and attend relevant performance management sessions including year-end ratings, promotions, and compensation planning
  • Manage staff recruitment in partnership with department

Ideal Experience & Competencies

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher
  • Minimum 5 years business experience, ideally in a business development, revenue driving or advisory role
  • Superior communication skills, sound judgement and ability to work in a high pace and changing environment
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with tact and discretion
  • Strong business and financial acumen
  • Ability to communicate at all levels and lead change management
  • Highly organized, detail oriented, ability to drive multiple high profile and complex projects
  • Creative problem solver, energetic and persistent
  • Confident team player, capable of working well independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to speak Cantonese and or Mandarin beneficial, complete fluency in English essential
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills
