Graduate Trainee Program Ove rview
During the 18 month -long program , Trainees will have the opportunity to experience Bonhams ’ world from different angles, while working side by side with our team of extremely talented people. Trainees will be mentored and supported by business leaders and will be involved in exciting projects throughout the prog ram .
T Rainees Will Be Placed In One Of The Following Departm En t s
The Graduate Trainee Program will be made up of two placement rotations . D uring the first 6 months, T rainees will work in our core departments, such as Client Services , Marketing , and Operations, assisting with the planning, administration, and maintenance of auction operations, from setting up galleries to taking bids during sales . During the next 12 months, Trainees will have the opportunity to work alongside and be mentored by cataloguers and specialists with vast experience in a specialized area of fine art while learning pre- and post-sales administration, properties research and cataloguing, works of art valuations, and a lot more.

Graduate Trainee Q ualifications
Our program wants to open the doors of the auction and fine art world to recent graduates from all backgrounds. You will be considered for participation in the scheme regardless of your academic qualification. However, we do require applicants to demonstrate a genuine passion for fine arts, preferably a strong knowledge of the industry and the market or previous experience in a similar business. The ideal candidate is ambitious, motivated, creative and open to challenges, with an aptitude for business and sales. Candidate should be a self-starter, flexible, action and goal-orientated, and able to work in a team-orientated, and collaborative environment. Ideally, candidates will have completed a University Degree within the past 2 years.
Compensation
During the program , you will have the chance to build the skills you need to succeed in the auction business; we will provide tailored, on-the-job training and mentorship from our Specialists.
We offer a competitive salary and an attractive benefits package .
Hourly rate starts at $20/hour for the first 6 months, increasing to $22/hour for the remaining 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance.
