JOB OVERVIEW

Location preference: LA, San Diego, Phoenix, Austin or remote.

Are you a talented and creative Graphic Designer with a passion for skincare and beauty? Do you have a keen eye for aesthetics and a strong understanding of branding? If so, we’re looking for you to join our team at CLEARSTEM Skincare. As a Graphic Designer, you will play a vital role in shaping our brand’s visual identity and ensuring consistency across all channels and products.

Role Overview:

As a Graphic Designer at CLEARSTEM Skincare, you will be responsible for bringing our brand to life through your creative design work. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and branding agencies, to create visually appealing and cohesive design solutions that resonate with our audience. This role requires creativity, attention to detail, and a passion for delivering high-quality design.

Responsibilities:

  1. Conceptualization: Brainstorm and ideate creative design concepts, both independently and collaboratively with the creative team.
  2. Design Creation: Develop visually compelling designs for various channels, including packaging, digital marketing, front-end web, printed collateral, and product launches.
  3. Visual Consistency: Ensure that all design work aligns with our brand’s style guide and visual identity, maintaining a consistent look and feel across all touchpoints.
  4. Collaboration: Work closely with Senior Designers, Art Directors, and cross-functional teams to refine design concepts and ideas.
  5. Renderings and Mock-ups: Create renderings and physical mock-ups to present design concepts to internal stakeholders and clients.
  6. Packaging Graphics: Produce packaging graphics and type setting that adhere to style guides and regulatory requirements.
  7. Vendor Collaboration: Collaborate with vendors on CADs, samples, proofs, and other aspects of design production.
  8. File Preparation: Prepare design files for both print and digital projects, ensuring they meet production standards.
  9. Project Management: Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
  10. Asset Organization: Organize and archive design assets for future use and reference.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 5+ years of graphic design experience, preferably in the skincare, beauty, or related industry.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and After Effects. In addition, Figma and Canva.
  • Aesthetic Variety: Ability to design in different styles and adapt to various brand aesthetics.
  • Typographic Skills: Refined typographic ability to create visually appealing designs.
  • Collaboration: Strong communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to receive and incorporate feedback effectively.
  • Attention to Detail: Keen attention to detail with a focus on design precision.
  • Project Management: Ability to multitask and manage multiple design projects while balancing speed and quality.
  • Trend Awareness: Understanding of current design trends, fonts, and resources.
  • Curiosity: A curiosity-driven approach to design and a desire to continuously learn and improve.
  • Positive Attitude: A positive and team-oriented mindset.

Bonus Skills:

  • SEO Knowledge: Familiarity with SEO principles to maximize content reach.
  • Sustainability: Interest and understanding of sustainability innovations in packaging design.
  • Additional Skills: Skills in fine art, illustration, motion graphics, or 3-D rendering programs.
  • E-commerce Experience: Experience with e-commerce or subscription services.
  • Shopify: Experience with Shopify or similar platforms.
