JOB OVERVIEW

We are Cultural Affairs – an international creative group, comprised of 4 entities: Vhils Studio, Underdogs, Iminente, Ephemeral Ethernal, with stand-alone businesses in growth in the cultural industry – and we are looking for a Junior Controller to reinforce our Finance team in Marvila, Lisbon. Being part of our team means immersing oneself not just in local operations, but also in the broader international perspective inherent to our business.

If you want to take a challenge where you are expected to be pro-active to find new ways of working/implementing new processes, being able to tackle several tasks at the same time and be the support of the Senior Controller of Cultural Affairs, then this is the challenge for you!

YOUR MAIN MISSIONS:

  • Assist in the preparation of comprehensive financial reports for all the legal entities of Cultural Affairs
  • Play a supportive role in the budgeting process, ensuring data accuracy and helping streamline efficiency
  • Contribute to the development and enforcement of internal controls, safeguarding company assets and ensuring adherence to policies, procedures, and established workflows
  • Collaborate closely with the senior controller, participating in the development of financial analysis for the group and gaining invaluable hands-on experience
  • Support the accounting team in tasks such as accounts analysis and reconciliations
  • Support with other routine financial controls

SKILLS WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

  • A keen interest in finance, showcased by a relentless passion for learning and an innate curiosity about the financial realm
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in business, accounting, or related field
  • Professional working proficiency in English (writing and speaking)
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel
  • Analytical skills with an attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in financial tasks
  • A strong sense of responsibility and the ability to work collaboratively, ensuring timely deliverables
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • A proactive approach, coupled with eagerness to learn and a solutions-driven mindset

WHAT WE ARE OFFERING:

  • Contract of 9 months
  • Possibility to integrate the team after the end of the contract
