JOB OVERVIEW

The Role 

The Learning & Development team designs and delivers leadership, management, personal development and business skills training for our employees across the organisation globally. The training we provide is based on the latest thinking from subject matter experts and acknowledged best practice. We also weave our knowledge and understanding of the firm’s culture, values, systems and procedures into the fabric of the training. As a result, we have a track record of providing training that is relevant to the work our people do and which helps them to play their role in meeting the firm’s objectives. The position is based in London and will report to the Global L&D Coordinator. The post holder will work closely with colleagues in the London office, and those in Asia and the US regions.  

Specific duties & responsibilities will include but are not limited to; 

 Digital Content  

  • Awareness of the digital skills required in a learning and development role as it relates to transferring learning content online for virtual/self-paced consumption 
  • Comfortable showcasing creativity through digital skills such as video editing, web design and developing learning content online and managing that content 
  • Helping to manage the Learning Management System (LMS) in an administrative capacity within a HR integrated system 

Global Coordination

  • Supporting the Global L&D coordinator with a number of administrative tasks, which could include, but will be limited to:
  • Assisting with global planning – this is the master plan of exactly what professional skills training will be delivered in each location, e.g.:
    • Liaising with local contacts for initial dates of training
    • Checking diary availability if facilitators are required (allowing adequate travel time where necessary)
    • Helping to organise external speakers (if required)
    • Book rooms/equipment
    • Ensuring all trainers receive a diary invite
    • Helping create the programme in our LMS (Workday)
    • Ensuring delegates are invited and manage the logistics around their attendance
    • Ensuring all training programmes are recorded on the Global Planning Spreadsheet
  • Helping with administration: booking and logistics in advance of sessions ensuring that courseware and equipment are in place
  • Ensure global L&D materials are sent to the regions electronically and ship courseware to any of the overseas offices as and when required
  • Maintain accurate paper (only if absolutely required) and electronic records
  • Process all supplier invoices in a timely manner to avoid any delay in sending the invoices to the finance team for payment

The Candidate

  • Excellent organisational and administration skills
  • Strong time management and prioritisation skills will be required to support a busy team at different levels of seniority
  • Ability to operate in a friendly, client focused, professional and discrete manner at all times 
  • Ability to engage with key stakeholders and deal with people at all levels within the organisation
  • Strong team player
  • Flexible and adaptable approach
  • Competent with IT/use of Microsoft packages
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proactive and positive approach with a “can-do” attitude
  • Meticulous attention to detail; always striving for high quality and continuous improvement
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure
  • Self-managed, solution orientated and takes initiative
