About the job

Art Basel is seeking a highly reliable, creative and proactive person to join the Marketing and Communications Team in Hong Kong as a:

Marketing Content Manager Asia (Full-time)

Marketing Content Manager Asia will contribute to Art Basel’s content and communications in Asia, including Chinese publishing operations and development, as well as delivery of Chinese content across our physical and digital channels.

  • Planning and management of daily operations of high-quality Chinese content production across all Art Basel digital channels
  • Oversee the production of a range of Chinese textural materials, including but not limited to eNewsletters, show collaterals and show floor signages
  • Collaborate with Regional Head of Marketing and Communications Asia and the Global Editorial team on editorial planning
  • Evaluate and maintain Chinese style guide and best practice for website publishing with Content and Communications team
  • Edit, proofread, and approve assignments and copies for external copywriters / agencies
  • Manage Assistant Digital Editor to oversee translation of copies for website, social media and newsletters from English to Chinese (Traditional and Simplified)
  • Evaluate finalised copy for compliance with policies, style and tone
  • Monitor, analyse and optimise performance to meet traffic, engagement and growth targets
  • Implement best practices, workflow, tolls and templates to maximise efficiency and effectiveness of the publishing process
  • Support editorial video production as necessary

Requirement

  • Minimum 8 years of proven experience in editorial, content marketing or copywriting (preferably with focus on digital content) or similar roles in arts and culture
  • BSc / BA in Art History, Cultural Studies, Linguistics, Journalism, Communications or relevant field
  • Exceptional ability in Chinese writing, editing and proofreading
  • Proficiency in Simplified and Traditional Chinese; fluency in English; other Asian languages a plus
  • Proven track record in translation (English-Chinese and Chinese-English)
  • Experience in SEO, analytics and content management system essential
  • Up-to-date with developments in digital content and Chinese social media
  • Ability in planning, project management and coordinating people and operations
  • Outstanding communication skills and teamwork
  • A collaborative spirit, flexible approach to work, and the ability to work to short deadlines under pressure
  • Meticulous attention to details

The position will be located in Hong Kong, and will report to the Regional Head of Marketing and Communications Asia (based in Hong Kong). The position will offer an attractive package commensurate on experience.
