JOB OVERVIEW

The Marketing Team operates as a central hub, collaborating with colleagues across a wide array of functions: Art Specialists, Business Managers, Design, Digital, Client Insights, CRM, Editorial/Content, Press, Social Media and other key stakeholders. The function of the Marketing Coordinatoris to support the Marketing Management Team in the project management and execution of regional and global, multi-channel marketing campaigns for live auctions, online sales, private sales, exhibitions, events and special projects. The Marketing Coordinatorwill assist the Marketing Management Team as it shepherds a campaign from inception to completion. Sale marketing campaigns will include the planning of paid media, website promotion, content marketing, CRM, social and promotions all of which must drive buying, bidding and registrations for related sales. In addition, he/she will provide weekly updates on project status and contribute to improving internal process mapping for ideal performance

Specific duties & responsibilities will include but are not limited to

  • Gather, organize and proof assets for all campaign and sales promotion, consignment gathering, brand efforts and evergreen content campaigns including: advertising (print + digital), email, web, video, social media, signage and direct mail pieces
  • Propose timelines, track progress, flag delays and problem solve to ensure timely delivery
  • Brief and solicit feedback on marketing materials and work with Content, Design and Production teams to implement. Review and proofread any marketing materials to ensure all deliveries align the brief and free of error.
  • Ensure non-catalogue marketing copyright is cleared and fees are processed as necessary, assist with copyright approvals on marketing materials as needed
  • Generate CID codes to track digital activity and log performance reports
  • Help to maintain detailed records of marketing activity and budget tracking
  • Coordinate campaign details with external media agency and directly with some publications to plan, research and book digital and print advertising campaigns as assigned
  • Liaise with outside vendors including printers and mail-houses or work with Christie’s Production and Creative teams to fulfil this need, as is appropriate
  • Provide ongoing administrative support for the Marketing Manager

The Candidate

  • Bachelor’s degree with minimum 2-3 years of demonstrable relevant work experience
  • Marketing qualification would be an advantage
  • Fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin (both reading and writing)
  • PC-literate and proficient in Microsoft Office; knowledge of Mac would be desirable
  • Display working knowledge of print production, media planning and social media as a marketing tool
  • Ability to work independently, as well as part of a larger team
  • Excel in a fast-paced environment & able to quickly adapt to change
  • Demonstrates very strong interpersonal, presentation and client service skills
  • Ability to proactively anticipate hurdles and propose solutions
  • Detail oriented multi-tasker who is able to prioritize workload and time effectively
  • Knowledge of and passion for fine and decorative arts, furniture, and luxury items would be preferred
