The position

Join a dynamic and passionate team at Australia’s leading visual arts institution. The National Gallery of Australia has an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to join the Foundation and Membership department as Membership Assistant Manager.With responsibility for growing and servicing the Gallery’s community of general members, the MembershipAssistant Managerposition requires a person with strategic as well as tactical skills and experience. It will suit someone who enjoys dealing with people, and who understands how to build customer loyalty. The role requires excellent communication skills, an ability to manage competing priorities and a willingness to respond quickly and flexibly to change.

To be successful in this role you will be a self-starter with tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in business, art history or communications. You will be proficient working with customer relationship management databases and have excellent attention to detail; be reliable and organised; and have a demonstrated interest in the arts and cultural sector.

This is a full-time, ongoing role, reporting to the Development Manager within the Foundation and Membership Department, Marketing & EngagementPortfolio.
