About the role
Overview: Assist customers in examining items during preview days and special events; call
Appraisers/Specialists as required. Other duties may include assisting with merchandise pick-up following
an auction, assisting various departments with auction related administrative tasks.
In your role as Preview Worker you will be required to carry out the following:
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
Preview
• Assist clients viewing auctions items inside and outside of display cases.
• Answer general non-technical questions (sale dates, times, etc.).
• Provide quality customer service.
• Call specialists as needed for technical information and/or specific inquiries on property.
• Assist in preventing theft by following security procedures.
Delivery and Pick Up
• Deliver lots to customers as indicated on collection slip; obtain signatures; file collection slips
appropriately.
• Answer general questions.
• Assist in preventing theft by following security procedures.
Special Projects
• Assisting in general department administration where necessary.
• Unpack and pack boxes.
• Help set-up sales.
• Polish silver
• Calling department lists to remind customers of upcoming previews
In addition to the tasks and responsibilities listed, you may be required to perform other duties
as assigned by your Manager.

• Excellent communication (written and spoken) and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent customer services skills and desire to work with the public.
• Enthusiastic and calm under pressure, with a common sense approach.
• Committed, reliable and capable of working well as part of a team.
• Fluency in English necessary.
• Ability and willingness to be flexible with working hours.
• Business attire required.
• Interest in Jewellery, Fine Art, Antiques, and Collectibles.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
• Ability to accurately follow detailed instructions.
• Must be multi-functional and able to shift priorities quickly and easily.
