Beekman Social is looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Proofreader to ensure the accuracy and quality of our written materials. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for spotting errors, excellent grammar skills, and a passion for maintaining the highest standards of written content.

The Responsibilities:

• Review and proofread written materials for accuracy and clarity, including but not limitedto new business presentations, newsletters and websites, and social media content
• Correct spelling, grammar, and punctuation errors while ensuring consistency in styleand formatting
• Collaborate with account leads to maintain a cohesive and polished final product
• Verify facts, dates, and statistics to ensure accuracy
• Alert team to instances of incorrect use of logos, trademarks, packaging design, etc. forour clients’ brands
• Provide constructive feedback to writers to enhance overall writing qualityThe Requirements:
• 3+ years of proofreading experience
• Strong command of the English language, including grammar, spelling, and punctuationrules
• Proficiency in Spanish a plus, but not required
• Attention to detail and a meticulous approach to work
• Strong sense of awareness around brand’s tone and social lingo
• Ability to work under tight deadlines without compromising quality
• Experience collaborating in Google Docs suite (eg, providing feedback via commentsfeature in Google Slides)
• Familiarity with style guides (e.g., AP, Chicago) is a plus
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ambitious, proactive, and a quick learner
