Digital Counsel is a New York-based creative agency founded by experts in the fields of contemporary art, media, and advertising. Our clients expand the definitions of art, corporate philanthropy, and web3.

We create campaigns and messages that are timeless—engraved in the cultural now, and futureproof. Our services encompass design, content strategy, account management, branding, paid media and advertising, website design and development, and guerilla marketing. Past clients include Performa, Artist Relief, and Red Bull Arts.

Digital Counsel is an affiliate of Cultural Counsel, the communications agency founded in 2015. Clients include A24, the Bronx Museum of the Arts, Artist Rights Society, Creative Time, and the Mellon Foundation.


We are looking for a Publicist who specializes in the world of culture-driven tech projects, NFTs, and digital art. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced digital agency and have an expertise in blockchain technology, cryptocurrencies, decentralized systems and its various applications. You have experience in pitching news stories, building relationships with the media, and servicing client accounts. You are accustomed to an entrepreneurial environment so you’re open minded and respond well to change, and you think ahead of the game. The Publicist will report directly to the CEO of Digital Counsel.


  • Manage PR accounts in the world of DeFi, NFTs and blockchain
  • Lead calls, provide strategic counsel/guidance to clients, pitch stories
  • Write press releases and pitches in collaboration with Digital Counsel’s in-house writers
  • Develop public relations and media strategies to meet clients’ goals and objectives
  • Brainstorm fresh ideas for PR campaigns
  • Identify and collaborate with cultural and industry authenticators that may reach a wider audience
  • Keep a pulse on the NFT/Web3 media landscape, with an emphasis on trends in product and technology news
  • Collaborate across Digital Counsel / Cultural Counsel as well as partner creators/brands to coordinate media activations, announcements and events for various NFT-related client service projects


  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing or related field preferred.
  • 2 or more years of experience in communications, marketing, public relations and/or media work
  • A positive team-player attitude and passionate about NFT technology
  • Possesses excellent writing and editing skills, verbal communications skills, and detailed project management skills
  • Ability to quickly analyze media coverage and sentiment, see around corners and apply insights to the team’s work
  • An ability to work independently and proactively with minimal direction and handle multiple projects
