This newly created position of Senior Editor at the Serpentine will lead the institution’s efforts in commissioning, producing and editing content – articles, videos, podcasts, and more – that expands the reach and depth of engagement different audiences have with our programmes. This key role creates stories, key messages and plans that are built on insight and are communicated in a consistent, inspiring and responsive way to broaden our audiences.
Reporting to the Chief Producer, this role will be responsible for creating ways of keeping the dialogues between the Serpentine and its various audiences engaged and interactive. Our website and social media channels will evolve into editorial interfaces that function as an extension of the programme. In particular, the Serpentine’s website will extend its history of supporting emerging artists and curatorial innovation, leading critical contemporary dialogue through interdisciplinary programming.
This role will work to align editorial with a new interpretative strategy that reflects our commitment to inclusion, belonging and diversity at the Serpentine, broadening access, engagement and the experience of our visitors in person and online. In response to the programme, this role will manage specific artist-lead projects in collaboration with colleagues across the Serpentine team and external organisations and freelancers.
