Do you have a passion for comedy? Are you interested in working with one of the leading networks in late-night television? Comedy Central Presents Hell of A Week with Charlamagne Tha God is looking for a dynamic Senior Digital Producer to produce highly shareable, short-form creative content for its social platforms.

The ideal candidate is a passionate writer and producer, extremely knowledgeable of the social media landscape/strategies, and has experience working closely with a studio team. This person gets the tone of the show and can align with the show’s creative team on content that captures the overall view/feel of the weekly format. In addition, they’re able to turn content around quickly in a fast-paced environment. This is a full-time, contract position located in Midtown, NYC. (In Person)

-Work closely with Comedy Central social team to execute content strategy that supports audience growth and engagement across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, Twitter and other emerging platforms
-Conceptualize, write and produce digital first creative in collaboration with Social Video Editor/DP
-Liaise with talent booking team and show producers to submit requests for behind-the-scenes captures and additional recurring creative with show guests
-See all digital videos through editing the final piece, managing production calendars and documentation around ongoing content and future shoots
-Coordinate interdepartmental requests such as GFX, music, legal clearance and executive reviews and approvals
-Maintain content archive and library
-Work with Comedy Central social team to plan out calendar and post timeline based on in-progress creative
-Cross reference work with Show Producers and Writers to ensure voice suits the host and show at large
-Write all talent copy for social such as tune ins, teases, promos, etc. and produce talent on set -Watch down main show episodes to note potential teases, memes, GIFs, viral moments for pre and post premiere posting
-Create assets including gifs, images, memes and relevant clip content as needed
-Consistently monitor the social conversations around the show
-Assist Comedy Central team and junior staff with content turnaround during live tapings and late night content creation

-5-7 years of digital/social experience, preferably within a fast-paced, production setting
-Familiarity working with and pitching strategic concepts within a writer’s room and executive team setting
-Ability to design social images for distribution including, but not limited to, gifs and memes
-Strong working knowledge of Premiere/Final Cut and Photoshop
-Strong interest in pop-culture, with knowledge of what’s trending
-A deep understanding of all social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok and YouTube (and other emerging platforms)
-Excellent writing and interpersonal communication skills, ability to create a voice for a show/brand
-Strong knowledge of and personal connection to the series tone and voice
-Track record of developing experiences that drive engagement in social media
-Strong problem-solving skills

-Experience managing and mentoring junior staff -Comedic eye and background
-Considers themselves ahead of the curve and always in the know
-Able to work independently to meet deadlines and weekly turnarounds
-Aware of emerging social media trends and how best to be apart of it as it relates to the tone of the show
-Challenges themselves in clever ways to approach and cover stories
-Has a creative eye for editing to stylize the way pieces are cut
-Stays on top of niche social media platforms to create new opportunities for the show
-Brings ideas for cross collaborates such as influencers and special guests for added viewer engagement and reach
-Is familiar with popular accounts, challenges and hashtags that reach a wide audience
-Experience with the use of algorithms and promotion feature and other strategic tools
-Good at collaborating with writers and talent
-Directing experience a plus
