Nxt Museum, the home of new media art, is the first fully dedicated New Media Art Museum in The Netherlands. We fuse art and technology to challenge assumptions, open minds and connect with what is Nxt. We are passionate about art, technology, science and innovation and are on a mission to push the boundaries of what a museum can be.

We’re looking for a Dutch-speaking Social Media Executive with previous experience and passion in developing and implementing an insight-driven social media strategy and content calendar, driving community engagement and brand awareness. Do you have both a commercial and creative mindset? Does crafting organic content to inspire, amuse, educate and entice our community around new media art, Nxt Museum’s exhibition and our events programme excite you? As a start-up, at Nxt Museum you’ll have the opportunity to run free with developing your ideas and concepts, to trial and test to assess what formats and ideas perform well and where we can improve; and to set up new processes, content streams and concepts within your role.

If you are passionate about social media, with experience in – and a strong knowledge of – strategic planning and crafting content for Instagram, Facebook, Youtube TikTok and Twitter we’d love to hear from you.

Role & responsibilities ~ what you’ll get up to:

  • Gaining in-depth knowledge of Nxt Museums’ social platforms and brand tone of voice, our customer personas and marketing goals
  • Harness audience and platform data and insights to further-develop Nxt Museum’s channel strategy accordingly for Instagram, Facebook, Youtube, Twitter and TikTok further, expanding on the volume of content produced
  • Produce content according to your calendar and strategy: create assets (with the help of our Design Team) and craft captions
  • Manage the day-to-day posting of content via Later
  • Daily community engagement management i.e. replying to DM’s within Nxt Museum’s brand tone of voice
  • Identify new content themes for Nxt’s channels, as part of the content calendar, that will help strengthen our position as the home of new media art
  • Keeping a regular pulse on social media trends, key dates and conversations in art, tech and global affairs, that might inform new content themes – to ensure we are staying relevant, fresh and ahead of the curve in our content offering
  • Be responsible for the organic social content plans that fit into wider campaign plans, driving awareness and sales of exhibitions, events and public programmes on our organic channels
  • Use in-channel analytical tools to gather insights to pre plan the company’s social media presence and subsequently monitor performance
  • Analysing content performance and regularly updating the Senior Marketing Manager and wider team, preparing monthly reports to share with the team
  • Performing channel research and analysis to implement findings into engagement strategies, in order to nurture relationships and further build our community loyalty

To thrive in this role, you:

  • Have previous experience helping to manage a brand’s social presence
  • Can share examples of creative, intelligent and sometimes witty content that you previously created to forge a brands’ online presence with a distinct tone of voice
  • … even better if that content has a link to the arts, tech, fashion, culture or music or that you’re passionate about these areas
  • Love content creation but also have experience in digging into audience data
  • Have creative flair in writing and coming up with killer content concepts
  • Have an audience-first, commercial mindset for considering the impact on CTA’s to drive visitor numbers
  • Keep a beady eye on the latest developments per social media platform and are curious to rise to the challenge that this constantly changing puzzle poses
  • Thorough organisational skills with experience in planning-out social calendars and managing social media campaigns
  • Have strong multi-tasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks
  • Good knowledge and understanding of key social platforms including analytics
  • Experience in using social media marketing tools
  • A good grasp of Dutch in written and spoken form
  • You are keen to bring your existing experience to a collaborative, creative team, within a 2-year-young brand, at the intersection of art and technology where there’s a wealth of exciting subject matter to work with and the opportunity for you to flyyyy.
