Artnet is the leading international platform to buy, sell, and research art online. We connect millions of collectors globally with the world’s leading galleries and auction houses, with a focus on making the art market more transparent while supporting our partners in growing their business online.

We are seeking a French-speaking gallery liaison to join the Client Services and Account Management Team for a 14-month maternity leave coverage with potential extension.

As a Gallery Liaison, you will form and develop client relationships by maintaining the member gallery sites hosted on our network, provide friendly and effective product and technical support to clients who call into the support line, and coordinate advertising campaigns. Communicating with clients daily, you will play a crucial role in keeping them engaged and ensuring their success on our platform. This candidate will be reporting directly to the Senior Manager of the Gallery Network. Additionally, this Gallery Liaison will be joining us in our Berlin office, with the option to work remotely several days a week.


  • Build and maintain approximately 100 gallery member sites.
  • Form relationships with clients to better serve their experience and help grow their business online.
  • Provide clients an exceptional customer experience through friendly and effective product and technical support.
  • Assist users with online transactions to ensure seamless billing of Price Database products.
  • Track all significant client activities on a daily basis in order to retain existing clients and refer opportunities for new and existing clients.
  • Assist with advertising campaigns for gallery members and other advertising partners.
  • Report any site issues or bugs to the Research and Development team.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing, Sales, Finance, and Collections departments.
  • Edit Artnet’s artist database by adding or updating artist information.
  • For optimal online quality, edit artwork images to meet clients’ specifications as needed.
  • Help improve our product and services by contributing ideas regularly.
  • Attend openings, art fairs, and other events (in accordance with Germany’s Covid19 social distancing guidelines) to foster relationships within the arts community.
  • Take on additional responsibilities as assigned.


  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in art history or arts administration.
  • Minimum 2 years of working experience in the art world.
  • Proficient knowledge of PC platform, Microsoft Office, and Google docs.
  • Basic comprehension of HTML and image editing.
  • Ability to multi-task and self-motivate with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to adapt to new tasks and take on new responsibilities as needed.
  • Professional and pleasant phone and email etiquette.
  • Excellent command of the German and English language.
  • Full working proficiency in the French language (native speaker preferred).
  • Demonstrate excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Ability to identify potential risks and opportunities and escalate them in a timely manner.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and team-focused.
