JOB OVERVIEW

The Henry Moore Foundation was established to encourage the wider appreciation of sculpture, and in particular the work of Henry Moore; one of the worlds most renowned sculptors. The Foundation aims to engage, inspire and inform people of all ages and backgrounds; whether they have an interest in the arts, are studying sculpture as an academic discipline, or enjoying a day out. We continue to extend our reach to worldwide audiences through our international touring programmes, our Grants programme and our growing online presence.

The Board of the Henry Moore Foundation are now seeking candidates for the Chair role, which plays a pivotal role in guiding our strategic direction and fostering effective governance. Working closely with our Director and Executive team, you will lead our Board of Trustees in safeguarding Moore’s legacy and advancing our mission to make sculpture accessible to all.

We are seeking an exceptional leader with a passion for the arts and a track record of success of working on high performing not for profit boards. As a critical friend to our Director, you will provide both support and challenge, bringing strategic vision, commercial acumen, and a commitment to the cultural sector. Alongside a dedicated board and team, the chair will be instrumental in shaping the future of the Henry Moore Foundation. We are looking for a strategic thinker, a practiced non-executive, and a dedicated advocate for the arts, committed to our mission to enrich lives through art and culture, and ensure that Henry Moore’s legacy continues to inspire and resonate with audiences around the world.
