JOB OVERVIEW

At Karla Otto we are always looking for personalities with positive charisma who are enthusiastic, self-motivated and passionate. We are currently looking for a VP of VIP Services to join our team in the New York office.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop compelling strategies to align fashion and lifestyle clients with celebrities and influencers
  • Utilize personal and agency networks to create meaningful, innovative VIP and influencer programs
  • Generate top-tier opportunities for clients to engage with brand targets (inclusive of brand ambassadorships, event attendance, social media campaigns, etc.) via both paid and earned engagements
  • Shape and negotiate paid engagements when appropriate
  • Engage stylists and talent agents to consider clients for celebrity placement opportunities
  • Communicate with clients daily as relevant to celebrity opportunities, the competitive landscape, industry news
  • Support new business development through participation in meetings with prospective clients relevant to the account team’s specialty
  • Provide support at agency events to the wider teams and attend industry events for the purposes of networking
  • Partner with Karla Otto events team and outside vendors to ensure seamless execution of brand vision and deliverables.
  • Drive celebrity / VIP / Influencer relationships, including communication, negotiation, styling, events, product management, and placements
  • Manage a team at all levels, overseeing and developing all tasks and responsibilities.

Qualifications

  • Minimum ten years’ experience either within an agency or in-house, working in fashion and/or entertainment
  • Proven relationships with celebrity stylists, entertainment industry executives, and social influencers
  • Keen understanding of brands, competitive positioning, and industry landscape
  • Exceptional interpersonal, networking, and verbal and written communications skills
  • A responsive and understanding approach to client management.
  • Creative and strategic thinker; with the ability to problem solve.
  • Experience in new business development and client acquisition, and has a visionary and opportunistic approach to new business development
  • Discreet, professional and articulate, with excellent communication skills
