The iconic New York feminist artist Judith Bernstein recently opened a show at Paul Kasmin Gallery in New York. Money Shot, which runs until March 3, features black-lit paintings which poke fun at Donald Trump with satirical paintings of the White House, charciture paintings of the president and landscapes and phallic drawings that tie into the social critique she started using in her works back in the 1960s. “We need humor badly,” Bernstein has been quoted saying. “I think in a democracy, we have the blessing of being able to laugh at our government.”
