Parents of a 5-year-old Kansas boy have just been hit with a big art bill after their son was running around and knocked over an art sculpture valued at $132,000. The art, located in a community center, was called“Aphrodite di Kansas City” by artist Bill Lyons at the Tomahawk Ridge Community Center in Overland Park, Kansas.

Video footage showed the child running around and climbing a sculpture, moments before it fell over. Days later, the family received a claim from the city of Overland Park’s insurance company, which aid “the piece had been damaged beyond repair,” and called the parents negligent for controlling their children.
Naturally, the parents overreacted: “I was surprised, absolutely, more so offended to be called negligent,” said the boy’s mother Sarah Goodman. “They were treating this like a crime scene.”
