Can Virgil Abloh do no wrong? Apparently not! His latest collection for Louis Vuitton mens was a stunning homage to Belgian artist Rene Magritte, famous for his surrealist imagery and for his penchant for a cloudy blue sky. The FW collection was full of blue, blue and more blue, and we were totally there for it!
Even before the show started, guests knew they were in for a magical ride, as their invitations came in the form of a clock hanging among the clouds, spinning backwards.
Once guests arrived, they were treated to a first-class glimpse of clothes covered in pastel-blue hues, as well as matching bags and accessories, with the infamous LV monogram crafted out of fluffy white clouds.
And, it wasn’t only the clothes that had us in a spin, but also the set, which was full of giant scissors and keys, leading us into Abloh’s very own wonderland, with a massive tree trunk in the middle leading the eye up into the sky.
The show was titled “Heaven On Earth”, and judging from these pics, it’s certainly a place we’d like to visit.
