Make-Up Looks You Can Try At Home While You Can’t Work In The Studio
When your face becomes your new canvas
Beauty & Wellness 16 Apr 2020

Art girls! Are you feeling like exercising your artistic muscles right now? Want to try something a little different? Move away from the canvas and towards your face! Make-up is an art, and you now have plenty of time to try out some daring new looks. Instead of your standard smokey eye, why not attempt something a little different? Here’s some inspo to help get you started!

The Painterly One

Angels & Demons

A post shared by Dain Yoon 윤다인 (@designdain) on

Dain Yoon is a make-up GODDESS. Arguably works of art in their own right, sometimes her looks take up to 12 hours to create. And, to be honest, we can see why. After studying painting, she turned from the canvas to her face, and we hope she never stops.

The Glittery One

Fave @mxrxixm 👹👹👹

Feel like you need to sparkle? Dying for a night out? Well, why not cover yourself in glitter a la Athena Paginton. It will certainly brighten up your quarantine for an hour or two.

The Fashionable One

Everything Kicki Yang Zhang makes is super dreamy, but we have a special soft spot for her fashion-inspired looks. While you can’t go to the mall, you can draw Chanel bags on your face. Bonus, they’ll cover your eye-bags too!

The Double Trouble One

Quarantining with friends? Why not get them involved too. Madrona Redhawk painted ping pong rackets on her face, and her pal’s face too. The look is super cute, but we’re not sure we’d advocate using your face instead of a racket!

The Art Historical One

So, unfortunately we can’t go to museums right now. So, why not pay homage to the greats of art history on your face? Make like Sayumi and doodle a Picasso on your skin.

The Earthy One

Mother Earth

A post shared by Honey Dew Shefa (@honeydon.t) on

While we all stay indoors, the planet is getting a much needed break right now. As we start to think more about the health of our environment, why not pay homage to Mother Earth on your face. Honey Dew Shefa shows us really how to do it!

The Emotional One

OK, so we’ve probably all cried at least once in quarantine, but why not turn your emotions into something beautiful. Ur Gal Sal totally rocks the beautiful tears look, and we’re now all searching for our mom’s blue eyeshadow from the 80s.

The Rainbow One

Missing a little colour in your life? Can’t pick between green and blue? Well, you don’t have to! There are beautiful ways to paint a rainbow on your face, just like this gorgeous look by Lynski Lynski!
