Just when you thought Parisian perfumes couldn’t get any more legendary, Roos & Roos is the next big brand for you to take note of. Founded by a mother-daughter duo, Chantal Roos, iconic artistic director in the perfume industry who is the brain behind the creation of best-selling scents like Opium by Yves Saint Laurent, L’Eau d’Issey for Issey Miyake and Le Mâle for Jean-Paul Gaultier, has teamed up with her daughter Alexandra Roos, who is a famed French singer-songwriter known for her romantic pop hits.
Since 2014, they have launched a special, niche perfume brand called Roos & Roos with the desire to show how creativity, romance and feminine flair collide in scents. The fragrances are created with famous French perfumer Fabrice Pellegrin. After releasing over five original fragrances, each of which evoke different moods of femininity, the brand has most recently released In the Wood for Love, a woody, floral fragrance which they describe as being “a romance in the damp woods of forest,” describing it as “a new freshness, where the bergamot and mandarin essences burst and sparkle, soon distributed by the exhilarating facets of the orange blossom.”
“When you create your brand and your own line, you put not only your passion, but also your soul, and all of your time,” says Chantal Roos. “Then, in return, there is nothing more gratifying than to put the product in the proper hands, the ones that will respect your product as much as you do yourself, that will nurture it, take great care of it.”
