As any fashionista worth her subscription to Vogue knows, the Met Gala is the premiere fashion event of the year, so it’s no surprise that the Anna Wintour-chaired fete is getting its very own documentary. “The First Monday in May,” which documents last year’s controversial, Chinese-themed gala, will premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival on April 13. The film is produced by art collector and socialite Fabiola Beracasa Beckman, as well as Sylvana Ward Durrett and Dawn Ostroff. Cross your fingers it’ll be half as as deliciously juicy and conflict-ridden as “The September Issue” was.
