Move over KAWS, the Coolest New Art Figurines Hail from Ron English

Best known as a New York street artist turned art star, Ron English, who is recognized as the inspiration to Banksy, is still at it in 2018.

Now, English is dropping a new set of limited-edition figurines with Compound. The Police Grin Collectible is a new take on the Made by Monsters release in red, white and gold, only 500 are being produced and they each go for $350.

While figurines are nothing new to most of us, they’re a great way to start art collecting one of your favorite artists. As English recently said in an interview with Juxtapoz: “Probably the most amazing thing to be an artist is that I own my own life… you know? I can wake up tomorrow morning and decide I am going to make something and create something, and then doing it. There’s nothing in the way. There’s no restrictions.”

He adds: “I think you are your work. If you’ve been an artist for a long time, then you become your own language. In a weird way I think that you will know more about me if you look into my art than meeting me, you know what I mean?”
