Photographer/Artist, Los Angeles
Austrian-born Sylvie Blum kicked off her career in modeling prior to taking the helm as a photographer. She travelled around the globe and in 1991 met legendary artist and photographer, focusing on first class nude motifs, Guenter Blum.
Not only did she become his favorite model and muse but a few years later also his wife. He was her mentor and teacher and Blum learned everything – from lighting to darkroom techniques from him. His passing in the late 90’s left her heartbroken, but didn’t weaken her creative energy. Meanwhile Blum relocated to California and masters staging the female body in an ultimate aesthetic.
