Jackie Onassis was much more than just the wife of John F. Kennedy, she was a press photographer, a first lady in the 1960s (with an art history degree) and from the 1970s to the 1990s, she was a book editor who edited over 100 books, from fashion titles about Diana Vreeland to autobiographies of Michael Jackson.
Though much of her life was shrouded in mystery, a new film will tell Jackie O’s life in a new way.
The Editor follows an author who worked closely with Onassis, who almost became a family-like figure to his personal story, as she helps him confront a family secret. Many of Jackie’s looks will also be featured in the book, from cashmere sweaters to big scarves and her classic bob.
Expect to see the film next year, and learn how exactly she made a living as a book editor on $200 a week.
