In early October 1:54, a fair only focusing on African art, will be back for it`s fifth and most thrilling year. One name you will come across is Hassan Hajjaj, Moroccan-born, UK-based photographer – dubbed as “The Andy Warhol of Marrakesh”.

With a career over the last decades and showing in leading global institutions between L.A. and London, Hajjaj has recently relaunched his streetwear label, R.A.P London (Real Authentic People).
“Camels and mint tea; that’s all anyone used of to think of when I said Morocco”, Hajjaj once said and his set goal was to show another reality of his country.

One of his best-known series up to date, “Kesh Angels”, shows vibrant portraits of girls wearing veils with Gucci or Puma logos and sitting on motorcycles – a radical mix of political and religious imagery and in-your-face branding.
Don`t wait to mark early October in your calendars to meet this guy.
