Is being a “painter” boring in this growingly shiny art world, with some artists refusing to be called “painters”?
Not the case for Julien Colomier, who regularly collaborates with brands, such as Cartier 2015 and Chanel customizing their stores, as well as a recent collaboration with brand Chopard for a Harrods-exclusive perfume. The French gent also just had his latest solo show opened last week in Geneva. He remarked about the art world, “the capacity of not being too serious or boring is making a comeback”.
A self-taught painter based in Paris, Julien works mainly with acrylics and oil pastels and his supports range from canvas to paper, including murals, wood as well as installations.
