#1 Chinese photographer Ren Hang Passes Away 

The talented and controversial Chinese artist Ren Hang died last week in Berlin at the young age of 29. His passing certainly shocked fans, yet family and friends reported the photographer was battling with depression.

#3 Grand lightening bolt to be built in London

In honour of David Bowie, a new crowdsourcing campaign has been launched to build a 3-story-tall red and blue lightening bolt, just outside Brixton tube station. The campaign is hoping to raise £990,000 to cover material and construction costs.
 
#4 Petra Collins becomes a director for new short film 

Photographer Petra Collins has recently released a new short film for luxury label Gucci, aiming to highlight the brand’s eyewear collection. The whimsical short film draws from the artist’s own childhood as well as her Hungarian heritage. You can catch the feature here.

#5 A Biennal at Tiffany’s?

As part of Tiffany & Co’s new sponsorship by the Whitney Biennial, the famed jeweller will be handing over its iconic window display on fifth avenue in New York to site-specific installations, to be created by five emerging artists.
