Alice Springs, whose real name is June Newton, is the widow of Helmut Newton. She is also a filmmaker who made a documentary on her husband’s career and a photographer in her own right. June, who recently turned 95, is showing her photo portraits of fashion designers and editors on at the Helmut Newton Museum in Berlin.
“Alice Springs. Portraits” shows luminaries from the 1960s, from Yves Saint Laurent (with his chihuahua Hazel) to Diana Vreeland of VOGUE. Not to be missed.
