The Prada Foundation in Milan is opening a new space on April 19. It’s a new space called Torre and is designed by famed starchitect Rem Koolhaas with Chris van Duijn and Federico Pompignoli. Opening April 19, it’s a nine-floor exhibition space with a rooftop bar, which has a panoramic view of the historic city. Find it on the Prada foundation multi-venue premises, which has dozens of art galleries, bookstores, cafes and lounge spaces. With an exposed elevator and sharp angles on its white walls, it’s meant to have different observation points from various levels of geometric floors. As Rem Koolhaas says: “By introducing so many spatial variables, the complexity of the architecture will promote an unstable, open programming.”
