Is Scott Disick the Next Star Art Advisor?
The Kardashian star could soon make a move onto the Gagosian scene…
News 23 May 2019

In a recent episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, Scott Disick – father of Kourtney Kardashian’s three children – proved himself to be a true art dealer. Having previously convinced his sort-of-sister-in-law Khloe Kardashian to take up painting, Scott spotted a business opportunity and took the work to be valued. Unfortunately, the appraiser was not as impressed with the work as Scott, but we still think he might have what it takes to make a mark on the art world.

Having the gift of the gab, Scott has already previously tricked matriarch of the family – Kris Jenner –into believing a friend of his was a “very famous artist” called Art Vandelay. Knowing how to charm and trick people, is a key way of making business. And, with the ability to sweet-talk even a mega-business-savvy women like Kris Jenner, he is sure to quickly make his presence known within art circles.

Scott is regular at art openings across L.A. too, often attending with girlfriend Sofia Richie. We also know that he has an eye for the more artistic things in life. On his Instagram feed he posts images not just from inside galleries, but also from his home too, which is full of paintings and sculptures, he even has a few Jeff Koons’s bubble dogs. And, since Koons just smashed an auction record last week, it seems Scott knows a thing or too about works that will go up in value. A key skill for any up-and-coming art dealer.

To top it all off, Scott’s Instagram page even includes a link to a website called Curated Businesses, which apparently connects the world’s most influential celebrities with other brands. With a reference to the art world in its name – hello curated – Scott has already paved a smooth entry into a new, more artistic sector of work. And, with these connections, it won’t be too long before he starts introducing his clients with artists and collectors too. Trust us, Scott Disick may just well be the next Larry Gagosian.
