Serious Question: Are Hair Barrettes Back?

Ashley Williams in London is making a splash with wordy, sparkly hair barrettes that say everything from Girls to Boys and Delete. They’re like the new version of Valentines hearts.

A fixture of the 1980s, the hair accessory mad ea full-fledged return during recent fashion weeks, where hair icon Sam McKnight put Chanel hair clips during Karl Lagerfeld’s last couture show in Paris, from bows to flowers and clips, telling Dazed that:
“It was a celebration of Karl today at Chanel, in his last collection. I gave him all the things he loved: camellias, bows, brooches in the hair.”
