The Art of Moodswinging
Artist, New York City
ANGE, (Angela Donhauser) is a founding member of the mind-blowing fashion collective threeASFOUR that has built a legacy in the art and fashion world alike by fusing contemporary technology with traditional craftsmanship.
Just last year, the trio`s 3D printed dresses were featured in the MET Costume institute’s manus x machina exhibition. But Tajikistan-born and german raised ANGE is also a one-woman show herself and has just shown her stunning photographs at the spring break show during armory week in NYC.
Her radical and intelligent self-portraits with ironic titles such as “Who you gonna call nasty woman” or “Remodelling my penthouse” explore existential themes such as the gender, sexuality and race, in minimal settings provoking a deep emotional reaction via staging a serious play.
