After their own break up, Croatia born Olinka Vištica (a film producer) and Dražen Grubišić (a sculptor) debuted The Museum of Broken Relationships in Croatia.
When ending their four-year relationship in 2003, the former couple joked around to display the leftovers of their time spent together which they not only fantasised of but made come true. The Museum of Broken Relationships opened and after debuting in Zagreb, pulled out a show in L.A. last year and is about to come to NYC the next weekend:
The EX-hibition, will feature presents, memories and stories of broken hearts in the big apple and coincide with a new show aired on Bravo TV A Night With My Ex, in which each episode locks a pair of former lovers in a room for one night, joined only by the cameras…
And if you have to pick a bone with somebody, just tweet your broken heart moment with the hashtag #MessageMyEx, and the pop-up show will incorporate your story into the exhibition.
Head to Flatiron Plaza (23rd St between Fifth Avenue and Broadway) on 16/17 July for a little heartbreak day – sigh.
