If you visited the Pinault Foundation in Venice, the Palazzo Grassi, to see Damien Hirst’s strangely bizarre exhibit of fake underwater sculptures covered in faux barnacles from “Treasures from the Wreck of the Unbelievable,” the artist is at it again.
His one main piece that filled the cramped lobby of the museum, his Demon With Bowl (Exhibition Enlargement), is now going to the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas–naturally.
Where else would it belong? The 60-foot bronze statue is now going into the resort’s bar at the pool site, alongside 16 paintings by the artist, too. Talk about a theme park.
