If you weren’t too excited about the Ralph Lauren Uniforms of the American Olympic team, there was still hope (and color).
The Opening Ceremony’s Parade of Nations at the 2016 Rio Olympics on Friday didn’t disappoint on the apparel front. While some countries played safe in terms of rather conservative and simple designs others used the evening as an opportunity to represent their cultural heritage.
Nations like Micronesia and the Cook Islands looked fab in tropical floral prints and lush flower crowns, while African countries wore lively and traditional patterns. And then (heartbeat starts now…) there was Tonga’s flag-bearer, Pita Taufatofua, who did it all shirtless after splashing his divine body in baby oil.  ? ?
