Art Girls Jungle 18 Aug 2016

Nothing completes a perfect gallery or museum day than finishing it off with cake, scones with clotted cream and jam, sipping on a cup of tea. Lucky for art and food lovers, established art museums have extended their premises to include top-of-the-art cafés and restaurants serving sublime pastries or fine cuisine.
We have selected the most stunning café venues located in the most renowned art institutions around the world. From opulent designs to contemporary and minimal decorations, here are our top 8 places.
1. Bar Luce, Fondazione Prada, Milan

Designed by famed American filmmaker Wes Anderson, the bar’s design resonates with the film producer’s aesthetics. Think traditional Milanese café-décor, pastel colour palette, and Formica tables contrasted with pinball machines, and whimsical wallpaper.
2.  Le Georges, Centre Georges Pompidou, Paris

Perched on the top of the Centre Georges Pompidou, this restaurant offers a panoramic view of Paris including a large outdoor terrace. The interior has a sleek and minimal design, with large-scale curvaceous steel-like sculptures. To complete the look, single red roses placed on each table add dashes of colour to the white and grey background.
3.  MCA Café and Sculpture Terrace, MCA Sydney

While you get your afternoon buzz, soak in the views of Sydney as their terrace overviews the city’s famous landmarks such as Sydney Opera House and the Harbour Bridge.
4.  National Dining Room at National Gallery of Art, London

It is dubbed as the most beautiful tearoom in Paris. This mansion/private art museum houses one of the greatest art collections in the city. The tearoom is actually located within the mansion’s former dining room. In here, you will be surrounded by fabulous and rare paintings from the 19th century. You will feel you have been transported back to the 1800s and reincarnated as a Royal.
6.  V&A Café, London
