Carol Lim and Humberto Leon, creative directors of KENZO have just announced their latest short film, directed by Ana Lily Amirpour. Eagerly awaited after last year`s campaign videos that went viral, the project blends music, film and fashion, featuring new pieces from the brand’s SS 2018 collection. as well as music by Karen O. The song, titled “YO! MY SAINT,” is by Karen O being globally released on January 11.
The film features a cast of all Asian descent, including Kiko Mizuhara and Alex Zhang Hungtai. Centered around the theme of “muses,” the film honors and celebrates the concept of the modern muse. “Humberto and I are technically the producers. The beautiful part about this is it’s two women that decided to make this film together. It’s an amazing artistic endeavor and a conversation between two women. A female musician and a female director. That’s kind of the starting point of this. We’re so excited for it to finally come out,” said Carol Lim.
