Just when New York thought they saw the peak of vapidity with the scam heiress Anna Delvey, another situation just came up. It’s like something out of Ocean 8, but a solo traveler.

The 50-year-old British painter Larissa Watson has been scamming her way through five-star hotels, resorts and yachts, and was recently caught on the French Riviera on a crime spree. She was caught trying to steal a luxury motorboat in Portofino and now authorities are calling her the “Portofino Pirate”.

The artist is a mother of four and a creative director at an interior design firm, but fled to Italy before being reported missing in February, then caught stealing four months later.
Talk about an epic work of performance art! She currently faces jail time for fraud.
