You might remember that Victoria Beckham discovered a new passion for a second career as art curator earlier this year. Her June exhibition of Old Masters paintings in her Dover Street store
proved not be be a one night stand, but auction giant Sotheby’s and the Spice Girl-turned-fashion designer have joined forces again. Victoria Beckham’s flagship store in London is presents works by female Old Masters—from Angelika Kauffmann to Fede Galizia — to be on display as part of the show titled “Female Triumphant,” through December 10.
“When I heard about Sotheby’s plans for the ‘Female Triumphant’, I knew immediately I wanted to partner with them again,” Beckham shared before the grand unveiling. “These masterworks were created by strong, powerful women and for me that really resonated, as a female designer hoping to empower women through my collections.”
The show (and Victoria Beckham herself) will head to New York for the sale at Sotheby’s in January.
