In an unexpected collaboration, Virgil Abloh, the creative director of the Off-White fashion label (and Kanye’s go-to designer) has teamed up with Japanese art legend, Takashi Murakami for an exhibition opening at Gagosian Gallery in London on February 20. Don’t expect any Manga paintings here, but you will find silkscreened, streetwear t-shirts with Murakami’s trademark graphics—albeit abstract. This is the latest collab from Abloh, who is also working on shoes with Jimmy Choo, before he darts back to San Francisco for a DJ gig on February 23. Catch him while you can, and yes, we hope the clothing at Gagosian will be for sale.
