Legendary artist Andy Warhol is having a significant solo exhibition in China’s capital, Beijing, at the private art museum M WOODS. Entitled “Andy Warhol: Contact”, the show just opened last weekend with many art celebrities flocking over the museums floor at the opening.
Among them: The founder and co founder of museum: Wenwen Lei, Lin Han, Michael Xufu Huang; the queen photographer of Andy: Christopher Makos; Warhol Museum Director: Eric Shiner, Hublot General Manger of Greater China: Loic Biver, LIFA air China Chairman: Zhang Wendong.
Curated by M Woods Director Presca Ahn, the exhibition brings together photography, film, and interactive installations of the genius, focusing on the experimental produced areas of Warhol’s oeuvre.
Also an exciting part of the show are a few unseen works such as the radical underground film “Kiss” from 1963 that debuts at M WOODS, that features 12 couples kissing for 3½ minutes each.
