This Week's IG Digest: Art Basel Edition
We rounded up some of the pieces we can’t wait to ‘Gram IRL.
Entertainment 03 Dec 2018

You already know what’s on the menu for this week: endless ‘Grams from paradise (or at least Miami). That’s right, Art Basel opens to the public on December 6.
For those of you that don’t know what Art Basel is, it’s basically a cross between prom and Black Friday, but with more art and more alcohol. Sneak peeks are slowly trickling in through the ‘Gram for days, building buzz around the hottest artists of the season. For this week’s IG digest, we rounded up some of the pieces we can’t wait to ‘Gram IRL.

Marguerite Humeau reimagined the ancient goddess statue in rare English alabaster. We’re hoping there’s more where that came from…

Suzy Kellems Dominik will be showing INVISIBLE, her new piece that offers a tribute to women everywhere taking control of the narrative.

Dream logic

Willa Nasatir’s new photographs will be on display at the Chapter NY booth. An enchanting blend of sculpture and film with a hefty dash of surrealism, her pictures are hard to describe, so we’ll let her do it herself. Plus, she’s only 28 and she’s had a solo show at the Whitney—cue very valid envy.

Let’s take a Self-ie

IRL and on the ‘Gram, don’t miss Tschabalala Self’s new work.

Lord have mercy

This one’s for when you go cross-eyed from looking at million-dollar doodles all day and desperately need some comic relief. Meet the account that’ll make you hesitate before you go on your next social media cleanse. The bio says it all: “Because for every pic of Lindsay Lohan falling, there’s a Bernini sculpture begging to be referenced.”
