Many of us are still working from home. While there is a convenience to not having to commute to the office every day, our work routine right now can get pretty repetitive. And, as restrictions remain in place across the world, it feels as though we can’t do anything during our time off. Many professionals end up doing extra work in their lunch break, but we’re here to give you some things to do other than emails!
Nothing!
You’ve worked all morning, so you deserve a break! Sometimes doing absolutely nothing is just what the doctor ordered. Move away from your desk and just relax on your couch for a while. You earned it!
Turn Off Your Devices
We are all glued to our smartphones right now, but wouldn’t you just love to turn them off every once in a while? Take your lunch hour to really switch off. Turn off the wifi, shut your laptop, breathe! One hour separated from socials will do you the world of good!
Cook Yourself A Home Cooked Meal
When we’re in an office, lunchtime meals are often a sandwich from a chain store, but now you have the time to make yourself something nutritious from scratch. Instead of the same boring wrap again, why not do something different? You might not have this opportunity again once restrictions end.
Go For A Walk
There is nothing better than getting out of the house. If you are able to, why not go for a quick walk around the block. Fresh air is sooooo good for you!
Take An Exercise Class
If you’ve had a particularly stressful morning, a quick exercise class will help you release some of that tension built up in countless Zoom meetings, not to mention you’ll get a buzz from all those endorphins. There are so many options online these days, you really don’t need that overpriced gym membership!
Phone A Friend
Take this time to catch up with an old pal you haven’t seen in ages. I mean, let’s be honest, most of us haven’t seen many of our friends in a year. There is nothing better than a good gossip with our besties!
