Radiant red

Not only does this colour make you feel happy but it also makes you feel passionate and energized too. Donal Judd, Louise Bourgeoise and Anish Kapoor love to use the color within their art. Time to be bold and add the color into your looks.

REDVALENTINO : Cady blazer

AGNONA : Crepe wrap dress

GUCCI : Embroidered cotton-jersey T-shirt

NINETY PERCENT : + NET SUSTAIN Kaye ribbed organic cotton-jersey turtleneck top

Bold blue

Blue makes you feel safe and relaxed as well as happy.  No wonder it is artists Yves Klein’s favorite colour. For Klein, this blue held significant meaning, representing his spirituality and religious upbringing, the essence of natural elements like water and sky, and the vast expanse of the universe. When blue is amplified it can make a seriously bold statement, so give it a go!

ROKSANDA : Vaniria gathered cady dress

ANINE BING : Bailey asymmetric silk-charmeuse midi skirt

GUCCI : Intarsia wool cardigan

Glorious green

Green makes you feel optimistic and refreshed. Take inspire from this painting by Chloe Green in your style’s color palette to uplift your mood.

ALEXACHUNG : Metallic floral-jacquard cardigan

VETEMENTS : Appliquéd printed jersey T-shirt

KENZO : Cropped crepe straight-leg pants

BERNADETTE : Kelly floral-print silk-blend satin midi skirt

Sunshine yellow
Yellow makes you feel happy and spontaneous. So, it comes as no surprise that the colour yellow plays a vital role in a lot of artists work. Mark Rothko dedicated entire series of works to yellow. Dutch impressionist Vincent Van Gogh’s works “The Yellow House” and “Bedroom in Arles,” were both painted in what he descried as a rich “yellow like butter” and other Dutch painter De Kooning often uses the uplifting color too.

BOTTEGA VENETA : PU trench coat

RIXO : Lolita floral-print cotton mini dress

STINE GOYA : Hesper knitted sweater

PORTE & PAIRE : Knotted leather sandals

Powerful Pink

Take a leaf out of the pink loving artist’s  Arvida Byström book – ‘Pink is a color that stirs up feelings. It’s strangely seen as a weak color. It does have it soft sides, but it also bites back somehow. Maybe pink got it all”. Arvida Byström’s artistry is reclaiming the color, so why not give it a go in your daily attire too.

BALENCIAGA : Oversized satin shirt

VALENTINO : Cotton-blend poplin mini dress

MIU MIU : + Disney intarsia wool sweater

CONVERSE : Chuck Taylor All Star 70 dégradé canvas high-top sneakers
