MoMa’s PS1 has taken over Rockaway Beach as a site for installation art in New York City.
While the previous exhibition featured Katharina Grosse, the next one this summer will feature an installation by Yayoi Kusama opening July 1, who is showing her Narcissus Garden, a piece made in 1966, which features 1,500 mirrored balls in the shape of a lake. Kusama performs with the piece with signs that read “Narcissus Garden, Kusama” and “Your Narcissism for Sale.” The perfect Instagram selfie?
