Talk about couple goals. London duo Greta Bellamacina and Robert Montgomery seem to lead the lives we all wish we had. How many of us art girls dream about dating an artist? Bonus points if he’s a poet too. Well, Greta’s husband is just that. And, to make us even more jealous, Greta is beautiful, a model and a writer too. So, let us explain to you the many reasons you should be envious of, and cast under the spell of, the art world’s most perfect pairing.
The pair recently landed any fashion interested gallerina’s dream job (and let’s face it, most of us love the runway just as much as we do a private view). They just collaborated with Valentino to write poetry for the brand’s FW19 collection. The pair have worked together on poetry for over half a decade and founded their own publishing house New River Press in 2016.
Their poetry becomes art, which illustrates their love. Robert is famous for his “fire poems” which are carved into wood and then set on fire. When the pair were married, they each wrote a poem for each other, which they then set alight. It sounds a bit soppy, but just look at it and you’ll know why we’re envious. Salvage Paradise. Love is the Weather. Daydreams Forever….swoon!
And, a couple that makes art together, stays together. The pair frequently write poems together and have now also made a film that they have just taken to Cannes. Hurt by Paradise is centered on a poet single mother and her babysitter. It was directed by Bellamacina and produced by Montgomery. We are sure that this is just the beginning of many more romantic art-filled adventures from the duo.
