When Joe Biden was confirmed as the next President of the United States, he posted a video on Instagram showing Americans across the country carrying golden frames as a celebration of unity. The video was inspired by Lorraine O’Grady’s Art Is… series, with Biden using O’Grady’s golden frame throughout the clip. Lorraine even confirms that the campaign reached out for permission to use it. We love that!

Bob Ross Experience Opens In Indiana

For all the millennials who love Bob Ross, head to Indiana! A permanent exhibition has opened at Minnetrista in Muncie, Indiana. On display are paintings as well as Ross’s personal belongings. Many of the works in The Bob Ross Experience will be on display for the first time. 

David Hockney Reminds Us That They Can’t Cancel The Fall

British icon David Hockney has recently shared hopeful images of the fall made on his iPad. As many european countries are back under lockdown restrictions, the artist shared a message: “Remember they can’t cancel the autumn either.” Proving that there’s comfort in art.

Christoph Hefti Features In First US Dries Van Noten Store

Swiss artist and designer Christoph Hefti’s textile works are set to be a big feature in Dries Van Noten’s first store in the US. The artist – who once designed prints for Dries Van Noten – will feature in the store’s exhibition space called The Little House from its opening in Los Angeles on November 26.

West Bund Art and Design Fair is set to take place November 11-15 and Art021 is happening November 12-15. Great news for Shanghai-based art girls! Sylvester Stallone will be selling five watches in Phillips upcoming Racing Pulse watch auction. Probably most famous as an actor, Stallone is credited with making Panerai popular and is a keen watch collector. The sale takes place in New York on December 12.

Christie’s Auctions NASA Photographs

Christie’s upcoming Voyage To Another World auction will present 700 photographs taken by astronauts in space. The collection of Victor Martin-Malburet is said to be the most comprehensive collection of NASA photographs to ever go to auction. The sale runs online until November 19.
