KAWS Curates Exhibition

We all know KAWS as a top artist, but apparently he’s a curator too! KAWS has curated a show called Light by artist Sam Friedman with Library Street Collective in Detroit. KAWS and Friendman have worked together for years, as Friedman was once even KAWS’s manager so the curation seems perfect. The show runs from February 27 through April 3.

Rem Koolhaas Designs Card For Amex

Want to make an arty statement even when buying your daily cup of joe? Well, soon you’ll be able to thanks to a collab with Rem Koolhaas and Amex. it will be the smallest item that Koolhaas’s architecture firm OMA has ever produced and probably a must-have with the arty elite. 

Brooklyn Museum To Host KAWS Art Classes

KAWS’s exhibition KAWS: WHAT PARTY is set to open at the Brooklyn Museum later this month (February 26 through September 5), featuring over 100 works from throughout his career. In addition, the museum has announced that from March, it will be hosting art classes inspired by the artist’s work for people of all ages. We can’t wait!

It seems Virgil Abloh is the owner of some garments created together by artist Damien Hirst and designer Tetsuzo Okubo, but apparently, not for long! The clothes are being auctioned by Abloh’s Canary Yellow platform throughout the week so you better rush to get your hands on a piece! 

Epic Hockney Work Up For Sale Through Sotheby’s

A work that David Hockney made in 2017, and which featured on the cover of the New Yorker, is up for sale through Sotheby’s this March. Tall Dutch Trees After Hobbema (Useful Knowledge) is super striking because of its unique geometric form. The painting is expected to fetch upwards of $11 million when it goes up for auction on March 25.
